The more I live upon this earth the more I realize how generous God is. I really cannot understand how I had lived many years of my life without being aware of His light and peaceful presence. About His kind character.
What perception do you have of God ?! Of the Holy Bible or of the Holy Quran ?! Are they only books with orders as to what you should do or should not ?! What is your stand ?!
I have read the Holy Quran and several parts of the Holy Bible. Yes, they include guidelines to human conduct. They ask to be kind to your neighbors and to observe prayer. But does it concern only how we should act / not act ?!
Let us consider what God the Almighty says in the Holy Quran:
"O ye faithful! make answer to the appeal of God and his apostle when he calleth you to that which giveth you life. Know that God cometh in between a man and his own heart, and that to him shall ye be gathered."

God is saying basically that: by obeying Him and His apostle, He will give us life. Is He talking solely about the after life ? By no means. As the Holy Quran and prophet's sayings suggest, the good which is promised will be granted to the believers and the doers of good already in this life. God says that He Loves the pious (who have reverence for the Lord). Just imagine that the master of the Heavens and Earth, who has the keys for everything (wealth, health, kids etc..) promises to love you. Right now, upon this earth.
Why should we do that which God asks us to do (and avoid doing that He asks us not to do) ?!
God's love. I think this is a key reason. But do not forget that God is the willful master who created us in the first place. If He asks us to do something (or abstain from doing something else), it is because He knows that which is good for us. Why should we give charity, or pay in any case 2.5 % of our yearly earnings to the poor ?! Because doing so insures social justice. The poor and weak would have the means to live a respectful life by. Even the jealousy in the poor's heart (of the rich), would be eliminated. Doing good and giving the poor softens the hearts, of both the rich and poor. God says do it, and we should listen and obey. Just look how the western introduced banking systems make the rich richer and poor poorer. All that which is related to interest rates makes only bad to the society.
It is the wealthy and the strong who direct things in the manner that makes them gain even more money. The workers and the weak no one cares much about.
Grow wealthy in the Heart by the Love of God. God says He is going to multiply good. And since I have talked about banks above, I can tell you that He promises to "delete" all the money obtained by way of interest! Let us see what He says in the Holy Quran:
"God shall blot out usury, but shall make almsgiving profitable, for God loves not any sinful misbeliever."
