The path to happiness and prosperity is easy. The Holy Quran and Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessing be upon Him, had taught us all that we need in order to succeed in this life and in the Hereafter. The religion of Islam teaches us to follow the orders of God and His Prophet, so that our lives would be full of joy and happiness. God created us and He knows exactly what is good for us and what is not.
the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said,
"I have left two matters with you. As long as you hold to them, you will not go the wrong way. They are the Book of Allah and the Sunna of His Prophet."
[Muwatta Malik, Hadith Saheeh]
Man often finds himself undecided about the right action to take in relation to particular matters. Sometimes we encounter situations or difficulties that seem to overwhelm us. We think, plan, ask for advice and take action yet all this cannot guarantee success.
What should we do then?
God has taught us that all that in Heavens and Earth belong only to Him. He taught us also that He is in charge of everything that is happening in our lives and the lives of other people. So, we should ask only Him for help and guidance, for wealth and protection, and for every certain thing we need.
Intellect, life experience, our competences are all valuable, yet without the will of God nothing happens.
A simple practice ..
Let us imagine you are encountering a certain difficulty. Islam teaches us to say "Ya Allah" (oh Lord); to say it in the heart alone or aloud. The heart should be present when calling about God, and we must be certain that God is hearing us and able to answer us and help us.
Next time you encounter a difficult situation, do this and feel calm and safe. Since Allah is the God of everything.
The way to happiness and success, by way of belief in God, is far simpler and shorter than you might ever had thought.
