Verse endings of Chapter 76 "Human Being"

In this article I will focus on a particular structural aspect of the Quranic text. The verses of the printed Quran that is available for millions of readers all over the world these days are numbered. However, this was not always the case. In earlier times, verse endings (i.e. the last word in each verse) signified the end of one verse and the start of the subsequent one. The last words of Quran's verses are called "commas" fawasil فواصل (singular: fasilah - فاصله). There is siginficant amount of research about these commas in the Holy Quran.

Chapter number 76 of the holy Quran is called "Human being" (alansn الانسن). A thing that captures attention when inspecting this chapter is the fact that all the verses end with the letter Alef ( ا ), which is the first letter of the Arabic alphabet. Letter Alef ( ا ) communicates many structural wonders of the Holy Quran. This is due to the fact that this letter was the first revealed letter of the Holy Quran (that is: verse number one of chapter 96). In other words, in chapter 76, all the commas end with the letter Alef ( ا ). This is rare in the Holy Quran since only two other chapters have all their commas ending in letter Alef ( ا ).

Chapter 76 "Human being" has 31 verses. This means that 31 commas end with the letter Alef ( ا ). What is special about the number 31 and why should we pay attention to commas and letter Alef ( ا ) here ?!

» As mentioned in many articles in this site human chromosome number is evident in almost all aspects of the Holy Quran when there is talk about human beings or human beings creation. I have presented earlier how the first verse of chapter 76 "Human being" is the 46th verse from Quran's beginning that contains the word "Human being" - Alansn (الانسن). Humans have 46 chromosomes, a scientific fact that has been established in the year 1955. These chromosomes contain the genetic material needed for the development and functioning of the human body. These structures are the biological entities that make us uniquely human. Different species have different number of chromosomes: the elephant 56 chromosomes, pigeon 80 chromosomes while the wolf has 78 chromosomes. A mathematical fact is that the number 46 is the 31st composite number in universe. Composite numbers: are natural numbers (1,2,3,4,5..) that are divisible by numbers other than themselves and one. The first few composite numbers are 4, 6, 8, 9, 10..

» Chapter 76 "Human being" - Alansn (الانسن) is the 31st chapter from Quran's beginning that contain the word "Human being" - Alansn (الانسن). Again, we see how this scripture feature relates to human chromosome number.

» Inspecting chapter 76 "Human being" - Alansn (الانسن) shows that this chapter has 199 Alef letters ( ا ). Number 199 is the 46th prime number in universe. Prime numbers: are natural numbers (1,2,3,4,5..) that are divisible only by themselves and one. The first few primes are 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13..

» Amazingly the letter Alef ( ا ) which is the first letter in the word "Human being" - Alansn (الانسن) appears 46 times up to and before the first occurrence of the word God - Allah ( الله ) in chapter 76. Moreover, the last letter in the word "Human being" - Alansn (الانسن) letter Noon ( ن ) appears 23 times up to and before the first occurrence of the word God - Allah ( الله ). Number 23 is equal to the number of human chromosome pairs (called haploid chromosome number).

» The significance of the letter Alef ( ا ) becomes even stronger when examining the verses from Quran's beginning and up to chapter 76 "Human being" - Alansn (الانسن). Analysis shows that there are 806 commas ending with the letter Alef ( ا ) from Quran's beginning and up to chapter 76. This means that there are 806 verses ending with this letter from Quran's beginning and up to chapter 76. Amazingly, there are exactly 806 Quranic intials' letters in chapter 76 "Human being" - Alansn (الانسن). Letters of Quranic initials are 14 letters in total (out of Arabic's 28 letters) and they are the ones that appear among Quran's 29 mysterious initials. Some chapter of the Holy Quran are initiated by letter strings, such as Alef, Lam, Meem (الم) or Ya, Seen (يس). No one is 100% sure what is the meaning or purpose of those initials, but many mathematical phenomena in the Holy Quran relate to these initials.

» The number 806 is equal to 31 × 26. Again, the 31st composite number is 46 which is equal to human chromosome number.

» This means that the last verse of chapter 76 "Human being" - Alansn (الانسن) is the 837 verse, from Quran's beginning, that ends witht letter Alef ( ا ). The number 837 is equal to 31 × 27. Interestingly, the word "Human being" - Alansn (الانسن) appears 27 times in the Holy Quran as object (mansoob - منصوب) and another 27 times as subject (marfoa' - مرفوع) ! Please pay attention to the fact that 27 + 19 (key miracle wonder) is equal to 46 (human chromosome number).

» In addition to all of this we see that chapter 76 "Human being" - Alansn (الانسن) is the 23rd chapter from Quran's beginning that has at least one comma (verse ending) that ends with the letter Alef ( ا ). Again, humans have 23 chromosome pairs.

» And this chapter is also the 9th chapter from Quran's beginning that has at least one comma (verse ending) that ends with the letter Alef ( ا ) and contains, at the same time, the word "Human being" - Alansn (الانسن) in chapter. Number 23 is the 9th prime number in universe.

Please consult the following table:

very nice work

Why have you translated surah 17 al-isra' to israelis? Al isra' is the night journey!

@Muslim
Surat Al Israa translates in fact to the Night Journey but an additional name for this Chapter is Surat Bne Israel (سورة بني اسرائيل), Israelites or Children of Israel. Hence comes the name above in the table. In fact, I should update the table in near future in order to avoid confusions.

la ilaha illallah muhammadur rasulullah

Mashallah Subhanallah
